Visit of the scientists of the Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Khatirchi district of Navoi region
The large-scale reforms are being implemented in all spheres of the economy, including in the agrarian sphere. While the population of the Earth is rapidly increasing, the demand for agricultural and food products is steadily growing. Proceeding from this, it is necessary to improve the agrarian sector with the help of modern innovative technologies, which will ensure the food security of the Republic.
The second of March on this year, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Khatirchi district of Navoi region where he held an extended meeting with the participation of the responsible persons of the region, where he instructed the heads of the relevant organizations to further develop viticulture in the region.
On March 18-19, scientists from the Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics visited the head of the first deputy director of the Center, Doctor of Biological Sciences Zabardast Buriev to Khatirchinsky district of Navoi region, where a meeting with district Goafir Aliyev, who met with the head of administration of the region. The meeting discussed the state of viticulture in the region, the existing problems and ways to solve them with the help of innovative technologies.
Scientists with representatives of the head of administration visited grape fields in the territories of Altynsoy, Uchkary and Akmal Ikromov of the Khachirchin district, where they became more familiar with the viticulture of the region. As a result of the visit, seedlings of grape varieties Kizil Dum, Ok Dum and Gigant were delivered to the Center to create a molecular genetic passport and microcolonial reproduction in vitro, which over time were grown in the region of Amir Temur.
