From March 23th on till 25th of March, the three-days innovation camp "Young Biotechnologist" was held at the Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The purpose of the organization of the innovation camp was to introduce students to modern innovative technologies in the field of genomics and genetic engineering, the achievements of Uzbek scientists in these fields of science, the interest of the younger generation in science and the development of innovations. To participate in the camp, talented students from the schools of the Kibray district of the Tashkent region were selected, who annually take an active part in the biology and chemistry Olympiads. Within three days, the children participated directly in laboratory experiments and listened attentively to the cognitive lectures of the Center's scientists. On the third day of the camp with the students, the Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, academician Abdurakhmonov Ibrokhim Yulchievich, greeted the schoolchildren warmly and told them about his childhood, about how he participated in the school olympiads in biology, and what motivated him to love this science . Participants of the camp listened with great interest to Academician Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, actively participated in the conversation and asked questions of interest to them. By the end of the meeting, Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov presented memorable gifts to the camp participants on behalf of the Center and wished the students to go firmly to their goal, be persistent and persistent, always strive for new knowledge and believe in themselves.
