Improving cotton yield - Uzbekistan expands new variety.

 

In Uzbekistan, the new cotton variety has been developed using gene ‘knockout’ technology. This variety has been named as PORLOQ (translates as a ‘great future’), which has been used in trial plots in all regions during the 2014/15 season, to demonstrate its effectiveness in differing climatic conditions.
