February 14, 2018, the Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the director of the Center of Genomics and Bioinformatics of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, academician Abdurakhmonov Ibrohim Yulchievich visited the 5th secondary school, Gulistan, Syrdarya region within the framework of the roadmap of new academicians. He met with the students and shared with them his story, how he achieved success in life. Academician also invited students to visit the Center of Genomics and bioinformatics to see Uzbek young scientists achievements. On the same day, Academician I. Abdurakhmonov visited the Gulistan Academic Lyceum, met with lyceum students. He told them about Center’s innovative developments of new cotton "Porlock" varieties obtained by gene-knockout technology.
Also academician I. Abdurakhmonov visited the biological laboratory in the Gulistan State University. He gave advice on the organization of effective work in the laboratory and invited the teachers to take training at the Center of Genomics and Bioinformatics.
