On May 2th, 2018 year, the Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the director of the Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, academician Abdurakhmonov Ibrohim Yulchievich visited the academic lyceum located in the city of Namangan within the framework of the road map of academicians. During the meeting with students of the Lyceum, Academician I. Abdurakhmonov told them about his life, about the role of science and education in the development of the country, about the achievements of Uzbek scientists, about the opportunities created for the youth by the government of Uzbekistan. The pupils of the Lyceum listened with great enthusiasm to Academician I. Abdurakhmonov and asked many interesting questions. Some students expressed a desire to come to the Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics and participate in research projects. After the meeting, the most active students were awarded souvenirs.

Also, on May 4th, 2018 year, Academician I. Abdurakhmonov visited secondary school No. 12, located in the village of Gova, in the Chust district of the Namangan region. At a meeting with school students, I. Abdurakhmonov told about how he once studied at this school, participated in biology Olympiads, achieved his goal and, in the end, reached such heights. He stressed that everyone can achieve this if he works hard and purposefully. He also talked about the interesting aspects of science, and how it can change our lives. The school students actively participated in the discussion and asked questions. At the end of the event, active students received memorable gifts.
