The visit of scientists from the Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics to the Kuva district of the Fergana region.
Nature has provided man with a large number of healthy crops. One of them is a pomegranate, it is so unique in terms of structure and content that it is useful from the root to the tip of the leaf. This shrub is cultivated in Central Asia for almost 2,000 years. Since the soil-climatic conditions of our country are favorable for the cultivation of pomegranate, more than 25% of the pomegranate plantations of Central Asia are located in Uzbekistan. In particular, the Kuva region of the Fergana region is famous all over the world for its variety of juicy, sweet, sour-sweet varieties of garnets. In fact, the grenadier school was first established in Kuw and was studied throughout Asia to gain experience. Even today's garnets coming to the market counters from different regions of our republic are of the original origin from Kuva. On June 13-14, scientists of the Genomics and Bioinformatics Center, the leading organization on genomic technologies of the republic, the first deputy director, Doctor of Biological Sciences Zabardast Buriev and head of the Laboratory of Transgenomics and Tissue Culture, candidate of biological sciences Khurshida Ubaydullaeva and the laboratory of Marker-Associated Selection, Candidate of Biological Sciences Mukhtar Darmonov visited the Fergana Valley. Scientists met with Mastura Saifuddinova head of the agricultural firm "Far'ona anarchilik" in the Kuva district. The scientists of the Center spoke about the creation of molecular-genetic passports of 15 varieties of pomegranate grown in this farm, and about microclonal "in vitro" reproduction of pomegranate.
