Thus, according to the Decree, now from 1 January 2017, approval of full members of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be made by the President of Uzbekistan at the recommendations of the presidium and acting members of the Academy of Sciences under the relevant specialties. 

However, from 1 January 2017 the monthly fees are raised of full members of the Academy of Sciences. If earlier it was the size of four minimum wages, now it raised to 10 minimum wages. 

The document also stipulates the order, according to which members of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan together with one accompanying person once a year to get free rehabilitation course at the health resorts of Ministry of Health, and the Council of Labor Unions Federation of Uzbekistan, as well as health resorts of JSC ‘Uzbekistan’ in Yalta and Kislovodsk. 

And that is not all. Within one month the ministries and departments have to develop new projects and submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers. In particular, it is intended to introduce a new mechanism for the active involvement of the full members of the Academy of Sciences in research, education and manufacturing processes, strengthen their role in the deepening of the integration of science, education and industry, as well as the training of qualified personnel. To this end, the necessary conditions will be created in the scientific and educational institutions and industrial enterprises of the country for the academicians. 

However, the development and approval of new edition of the statute of the Academy of Sciences is expected, which will be drawn up taking into account the resulting innovations.
