During 21-25 February, 2017 junior scientist of the Center of Genomics and Bioinformatics Bakhtiyor Rakhmanov participated in International Conference InterDrought-V in Hyderabad, India, that IDV Conference devoted to natural drought in agriculture. In this conference Rakhmanov B. presented his research work entitled “Influence of epigenetic regulations on cotton”. In IDV Conference were nearly 1000 participants and invited eminent scientists from <60 countries across the globe.
Today, Global Climate Change/Warming and Drought are one of the big and actual issues in the world. To solve severe drought problems and develop agricultural production under such stress conditions are main challenge for scientists and specialists. Taking into account these issues InterDrought Conferences serve as scientific platform for presenting, exchanging ideas and debating main problems and strategies relevant for improving drought and other stress tolerance in crops. The main purpose of the conference is to investigate the opportunities of scientific and technologic applications in crop improvement.
As continuation of previously InterDrought Conferences held in France (ID-I, 1995), Italy (ID-II, 2005), China (ID-III, 2009) and Australia (ID-IV, 2013), the InterDrought Conference, InterDrought-V, was organized by international organization ICRISAT in India.
