On May 10, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree awarding academician Edward Rtveladze for his merits to the fatherland with the order "El-Yurt Hurmati". This was reported at the international congress "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan - the way to dialogue between people and countries", which had been opened in Tashkent on May 15.
A world-known historian and archaeologist has received the Order on the day of his 75-th birthday on May 14 at a ceremonial meeting held in the Academy of Sciences with Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov participation.
The scientist has been awarded "for perennial productive work in science, a worthy contribution in the intellectual and spiritual potential improving of the young generation, as well as active participation in the country’s public life."
